Horseracing fans in the UK are eagerly anticipating the big race at Aintree Racecourse on Saturday October 26. The day’s events will be headlined by the 5:20pm GMT Betfred ‘Racing’s Biggest Supporter’ Maiden Hurdle, which will feature some of the top racing horses – including the popular Regal Encore.
The five year old racehorse is coming off a fantastic run in the Championship Bundle race, where he finished as runner-up only to the champion Briar Hill. Regal Encore was trained by the well-known trainer Anthony Honeyball, who has run his own racing club since becoming a trainer in 2006.
Honeyball is excited to see Regal Encore get back onto the racecourse at Aintree. According to his training team, Regal Encore was ready to race a few weeks ago after spending the last few months training. But Honeyball notes this particular racehorse is able to run better on wet ground, and waiting for the Betfred Maiden Hurdle was simply a matter of timing.
“He’ll get a bit of education and you obviously hope he’ll be able to get the job done as well. We are looking forward to it, but at the same time you don’t want the bubble to burst. There isn’t really any pressure and as long as he jumps well and is in the shake-up, we’ll be happy.”
The Aintree Racecourse will be closely monitored by sports bettors and expectedly will be included in sportsbook promotions around the world. With the tagline ‘Racing’s Biggest Supporter,’ the event is expected to attract interest from fans globally.
Honeyball says Regal Encore is one of the well-tamed horses he trains, and expects the odds to favour a strong finish for the racehorse. He says Regal Encore’s training since the Championship Bundle race proved exceptionally successful, and that the horse is prepared to clear hurdles on Saturday.
Honeyball believes that while there is little pressure on Regal Encore, sports bettors and racing fans should expect a quality and potentially profitable race from the event.
